Dacia 500 Lastun

The Lăstun, also named "Dacia 500", was a cost-effective Romanian car for urban transport built in the mid and late 1980s. It featured a two cylinder air-cooled engine of 499 cc, producing 22.5 HP, with a fuel consumption of 3.3 L/100 km and having a maximum speed 106 km/h. The Lăstun was built in Timişoara, Romania and was manufactured in small numbers. After 1989 the production was abandoned due to low quality. An enhanced bodywork prototype 500 Lăstun was also made.

Dacia 500 - Lastun

As far I know, (I had one) and see (see YouTube.com videos and the poster at:
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Shop/1185/index.htmlb ),
the official name was "Dacia 500". Not sure what was the "Lăstun" name; my first guess is that: initially it was meant to have the name "Lastun", but at the end was decided to be a "Dacia".
